Hello all. How are you? Work is good, therefore progress is slow. As you can see, I had no time to post a decent blog on tuesday, so I just pushed another image up. It’s a scribble I did for a college portfolio. I had possibly the best brief out of the entire class (and still managed to mess it up!) but I liked this drawing, so it’s been displayed as an attempt to address the lack of written postage. So yeah, as I said, work is going well. I know all about kayaks. I can even reel off some specific makes, such as Frenzy and Caper. But that’s boring. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve been working in the evenings as well this week, I would comment on how nice it is to do a job and be able to have the evenings to myself for the first time in my life.

Broad Haven has been kind to me this week though. You can find a webcam view of the beach here, although it’s from a very perculiar angle, so its not that good at scoping out good swell or seeing what the surf is like on any given day. Still, its nice that they try. I also got a very nice freebie t-shirt from an equally nice rep from Oxbow. Almost made me want to do some 1950’s style dancing. Happy days.

So, it’s occured to me that we’ve been neglecting the ‘records’ bit of Hand & Face recently, and there is nothing I can do about that at the moment. Time is tight right now. And I want to concerntrate on the blog being good, so I don’t want to rush and risk any artistic process that may or may not be waiting to happen. I have acquired a new guitar recently though. It’s a Fender Squire, black with sunburst effect. It was free, so Sean, thank you. That brings me up to 6 now. Other than that though, there isn’t much else I just wanted to mention that I was aware of the lack of that side of the company, as anyone looking through the blog since it started will see that there isn’t much going on from our homegrown musical endevours.

We do still listen to music however, and there is a whole host of lovely/gleaming/enthralling music over at the 001 Collective. It’s a concept label, designed to bring artists from a certain place and then also from further afield to actively give away their music for free, and it works. It so works. Apart from 001, they’ve also just started the CLLCT Family, a place where these artists can control their own content and put up their music online. My personal favourites are Good Night & Good Morning, who I heard last year and also the Secret Owl Society.

I’m getting lots in today but not going a long way with it. I’ve not had a chance to work on the new listening posts, and we’re already a week late delivering last week’s. I’m going to try and get that sorted, soon, then deliever this week’s on time on Sunday, otherwise I’ll fall right behind, as next week, I head off to the Big Smoke to see Jack Johnson. Looking forward to that.

So yes, that means the blog will be out of commission once again from Tuesday til Sunday, but that should leave me enough time to get this all back on track.

I hope that was a sufficiant catch-up and that you’re having a nice day.
